Translational Research Program
Overview
The overall goals of this program are to encourage and support research on the translation, adaptation, and adoption of empirically tested secondary prevention and treatment adherence interventions into community-based treatment and other public health settings.
Areas of Emphasis
- Study the impact of efficacious interventions in HIV treatment, public health, and other community-based settings, and tests of innovative delivery strategies.
- Assess cost-effectiveness of various intervention strategies.
- Identify/Characterize client reactions in effectiveness evaluations of prevention and adherence interventions, including qualitative, behavioral, and biological outcomes, where appropriate.
- Assess the effectiveness of interventions as related to fidelity to intervention versus adaptation.
