This webinar explained the post-award process and how to manage a grant once the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) has awarded it. Topics ranged from submitting the annual Research Performance Progress Report (RPPR) to closing out the award after the research is completed.

About the Speakers

Tamara Kees is a Supervisory Grants Management Specialist and Team Leader at NIMH. She supervises a team of specialists with a cross-divisional portfolio of grants located in the Division of Neuroscience and Basic Behavioral Science, Division of Services and Intervention Research, Division of Translational Research, Division of AIDS Research, and the Office for Global Mental Health.

Rita Sisco is a Supervisory Grants Officer and Team Leader at NIMH. She supervises a team of specialists with cross-divisional portfolio of grants located in the Division of Neuroscience and Basic Behavioral Science, Division of Services and Intervention Research, Division of Translational Research, Division of Aids Research, and the Office for Global Mental Health.

Julie Bergerud, MBA, is a Grants Specialist at NIMH with almost 15 years of experience as a Grants Management Specialist at the National Institutes of Health (NIH). She participated in a site visit in Lima, Peru, presented post-award training in London, England, and several post-award trainings for the CFAR awards.

Robert Munk, M.Ed., is a Grants Specialist at NIMH. He has broad experience managing a complex portfolio of foreign and domestic research grants. He now works primarily with the Division of Translational Research and the Division of Aids Research.

We encourage students, post-docs, and new investigators interested in global mental health research to attend. The goals of the webinar series are to increase knowledge about NIH structure and grant processes and enhance capacity in global mental health research.
