True or False: Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) affects only those who have been in combat or suffered a sexual assault. False! PTSD can result after exposure to many different types of traumatic events, including accidents, disasters, and other dangerous events. In general, most people who experience a traumatic event do not develop PTSD.
