Orientation

NIMH New Staff Orientation
The Office of Fellowship Training provides orientation for all new NIMH employees including federal employees (GS and T-42s), fellows, contractors and volunteers—all should attend this orientation.  Orientations are offered monthly on a Monday at the beginning of an FTE pay period. Please contact Sandy Gomez with any questions. See full schedule.

Human Resources Orientation
The Office of Human Resources (OHR) provides a monthly orientation specifically for all new federal employees (FTEs). Sessions usually are from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm. See the orientation calendar , and the agenda .

OITE Fellows’ Orientation
The Office of Intramural Training & Education (OITE) provides an orientation for the Post Bac, Summer and Post Doctoral/Graduate Student community. This is a great opportunity for trainees to get valuable information and ask questions about their fellowship. A schedule of these sessions can be viewed on the OITE Upcoming Events  page.

NIMH Summer Orientation
Summer orientation is provided for all incoming interns who are accepted into the Summer Internship Program (SIP). It is a mandatory requirement to begin the research training experience in any of the NIMH laboratories. Each year, the sessions are offered on a weekly basis on every Friday in May and June from 9-11 am. During the group sessions, students are introduced to the NIMH culture and given the necessary tools to make the best of their training experience in the program.
