Sensorimotor Domain Subcommittee

The Changes to the Matrix (CMAT) workgroup was approved by the NAMHC at the September 2016 meeting. The purpose of the CMAT workgroup is to evaluate the evidence for a modification of the matrix and recommend precisely how to include the information for that component.

Recognizing that the RDoC matrix did not fully represent motor system pathology, the National Advisory Mental Health Council convened a subcommittee to address this gap in 2016. The workgroup was tasked with reviewing current motor systems evidence and provided their expertise on whether a systematic study of motor abnormalities could contribute insights into the pathophysiology of mental disorders. The group also addressed the best way to represent disruptions in motor systems within the RDoC matrix. This group was disbanded after their report was accepted by the NAMHC.
