Program Overview

The National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) Office of Management (OM) provides strategic leadership, direction, oversight and consultation on the business and management operations in support of the Institute’s scientific mission. This position is located within the Space and Facilities Team within the Organizational Performance and Operations Branch (OPOB) of the OM.

Position Duties

The OPOB seeks qualified candidates to join the Space and Facilities Team section as a Management Analyst. This position includes management and operational oversight for the Institute by providing activities and support efforts impacting over 350 OD/EX staff and three buildings. This position serves as a facilities project technical point of contact, preparing SOPs and MOUs for all space and facilities management tasks. The incumbent will maintain and develop administrative processes regarding design, construction, and budgeting of renovation projects. They will provide operational oversight on projects and monitor Space and Facilities budget and present recommendations to leadership and staff.

The incumbent will serve as a primary liaison and point of contact for program staff and NIMH leadership affected by space, attend and participate in all space planning meetings, and maintain and track space assignment documentation and manage logistics for moves. This position also conducts surveillance of construction and maintenance operations performed by contractors, including reviewing project plans and specifications for workability, and informing contractors of construction and reporting requirements for conformance with NIMH project plans. The incumbent is responsible for maintaining communication with staff, subcontractors, and project collaborators affected by space renovations or moves from project initiation to completion.
