The NIMH Office of Management (OM) provides strategic leadership, direction, oversight and consultation on the business and management operations in support of the Institute’s scientific mission.
The Human Capital Section within the Workforce Management Branch (WMB), Office of Management (OM), has an immediate opening for a Management Analyst (Workforce Specialist.) The Workforce Specialist will serve as a NIMH point-of-contact and subject matter expert on areas within Human Capital to include performance management, ITAS and leave administration, benefits, and workforce analytics.
The incumbent must be able to provide expertise to independently conceptualize, develop, and guide staff on human resources policies and procedures. Ideal candidates should have the ability to collaborate with senior leadership regarding human resources policies and issues, develop and implement new work management strategies and analyze existing policies and training methods to provide suggestions for improvement.
Additional responsibilities include assisting Administrative Officers with duties and responsibilities related to ITAS; provide guidance to timekeepers to include the creation and editing of timecards, leave requests, edits to employee profile information, and the modification of supplements; assist the performance management liaison with developing a position management template library for all positions within the NIMH to be used within the ePMAP system.
This position requires excellent customer service skills, strong oral and written communication skills, and excellent analytical, organizational, and time management skills.

The Management Analyst (Workforce Specialist) will be appointed at a salary commensurate with their qualifications and experience. In addition, full federal benefits, including leave, health and life insurance, long-term care insurance, retirement, and savings plan (401K equivalent), will be provided.
