Position Overview

The NIMH Scientific Talent and Recruitment Services (STARS) Branch within the NIMH Office of Management (OM) has immediate openings for a Project Officer and Program Analyst.

The STARS Project Officer functions as the liaison between the government and the awarded vendors and works closely with the STARS Team (other project officers, program analysts, and team leadership) points of contact within NIH Institutes and Centers and the vendors. Interested candidates must be a GS-9/11, be able to master the STARS Automation System, and communicate clearly both verbally and in writing. This position requires excellent customer service skills.

The STARS Program Analyst is responsible for creating requisitions and processing vendors’ invoices. Interested candidates must be a GS-7/9, detail-oriented, have strong skills in Excel, and be able to learn the STARS automated system. Prior experience with procurement software (such as NIH Business System) is helpful but not mandatory.

Both positions have a full performance level to a GS-13.
