Bo Yeun Yang, PhD
Dr. Bo Yeun Yang is a postdoctoral fellow who joined the PET Radiopharmaceutical Science Section (PRSS), Molecular Imaging Branch (MIB) in January 2016.
She received her PhD from the Seoul National University College of Medicine in 2014 under the supervision of Dr. Jae Min Jeong. Her doctoral research was focused on development of a multimodal-imaging probe (PET/MRI, PET/optical) using specific amphiphile encapsulation technology in various nanoparticles.
She worked as a postdoctoral fellow (2014-2015) at the Department of Nuclear Medicine, Seoul National University Hospital, producing 11C-DASB, 11C-PBR28, 11C-ABP688 for clinical study and 68Ga labeling kit manufacturing. In April 2015 she joined Clinical Center (CC), National Institutes of Health (NIH) as a visiting fellow, in collaboration with National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease (NIAID), developing new HIV imaging probes for PET and SPECT.
Her current research is focused on new radiolabeling methodologies of 11C- labeled radiotracers and 18F- labeling with nucleophilic assisted leaving groups (NALGs).
