NAMHC Workgroup on Revisions to the RDoC Matrix: Motor Systems

Date

November 3–4, 2016

Location

Bethesda, MD

The NIMH Research Domain Criteria (RDoC) Unit and Workgroup hosted the first in a series of workshops that were established to revise the RDoC Matrix on an ongoing basis.

This first meeting focused on the addition of a new domain to the RDoC matrix, that of Motor Systems and their relevance to mental disorders. Experts in motor systems research from a variety of educational institutions (both national and international) convened at NIMH to discuss and define areas of motor systems in human functioning that they posited were relevant to mental disorders. Proceedings from the two-day meeting are currently being transcribed and will be published as a report on the NIMH website in 2017.
