Research on Early Identification and Linkage to Services for ASD: NIMH ASD Pediatric, Early Detection, Engagement and Services Research Network

Date/Time:

Location: Bethesda, MD

The NIMH Services Research and Clinical Epidemiology Branch convened a one-day meeting with researchers funded by the Services Research for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) across the Lifespan RFA titled: Research on Early Identification and Linkage to Services for ASD. The five studies funded from this RFA formed the NIMH ASD Pediatric, Early Detection, Engagement and Services (ASD PEDS) Research Network and are testing a range of strategies for universal ASD screening and early referral to services for children ages 0 to 3. The ASD PEDS Network is collecting data using common measures and plans to pool data to expand the ability to conduct additional analyses. This meeting focused on the identification of potential strategies to leverage collective data to answer additional scientific areas of inquiry.
