Psychiatric Genomics in the Era of Team Science Symposium
The NIMH Office of Genomics Research Coordination and the Stanley Center for Psychiatric Research led a symposium on the state of the field of neuropsychiatric genomics. Topics ranged from gene discovery and regulation; causal modeling of disease states, including behavioral and clinical outcomes; the use of rare genetic disorders as models of disease; studies of populations from diverse ancestral backgrounds; and the utility and the challenges of using large bio- and data- repositories. The overarching theme focused on the synergistic nature a variety of research efforts, and opportunities to advance the field. A videocast of the event is available.
