NIMH Announces Six New Outreach Partners

The National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) has recently selected six organizations to represent Missouri, Nebraska, North Carolina, Texas (East/North/Central), Vermont, and Washington in its Outreach Partnership Program. These new partners join a network of 55 Outreach Partners representing every state, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico to disseminate the latest mental health research findings and science-based information from NIMH about the causes, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of mental disorders. Outreach Partners also educate the public about the importance of research and the opportunities to participate in clinical studies. Additionally, Outreach Partners conduct outreach and education to address the needs of populations that experience mental health disparities. The partnerships also help NIMH engage community organizations in dialogue to better understand the needs, questions, and concerns of those with the interest in the research the Institute supports.
