Office of the Chief
The Office of the Chief comprises a set of common resources and personnel that support the five Sections/Unit in the Laboratory of Neuropsychology. The personnel include administrative support staff, a neurophysiologist skilled in engineering, two neuroscientists with advanced skills in aseptic neurosurgery, a histologist, and an IT specialist. The responsibilities of the Office-of-the-Chief staff include:
- Administrative support for travel, personnel actions and procurement
- Maintaining and upgrading software on individual desktop and laptop computers
- Support for scientific and neuroimaging computer applications
- Support for neuroimaging (e.g., MRI, CT and PET)
- Histological processing of brain tissue
- Performance of aseptic neurosurgical procedures
- Identification, selection and design of neurophysiological equipment
- Consultation and training in neuroanatomical, histological and neurosurgical techniques
- Consultation in neurophysiological data collection and analyses
