Healthy Volunteers

Are you a woman in good health? Doctors at the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) in Bethesda, Maryland are dedicated to women’s mental health research. Healthy Volunteers play a critical role. Healthy women are needed to participate in research studies on the relationships between sex hormones, stress, and mood. A significant number of women experience mood changes such as feelings of irritability, sadness, or anxiety during a reproductive hormone change. Many women do not.

You are invited to call the National Institute of Mental Health 301-496-9576 for information on Healthy Volunteer opportunities in Women’s Health research studies. If you are a woman who does NOT experience mood changes, please call us. Together we can make a difference.
