Perimenopausal Depression

Perimenopausal Depression
Doctors at the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) in Bethesda, Maryland are trying to learn more about the causes of and treatments for midlife and perimenopausal depression. Many women experience distressing mood changes during the menopause transition. The need for effective new treatments for these mood disorders is considerable.

You are invited to call the National Institute of Mental Health at 301-496-9576 for information on our research studies of midlife and perimenopausal depression. If you struggled with irritability, anxiety, sadness, or loss of enjoyment at the time of the menopause transition, please call us. Together we can make a difference.
