BSC Member - Danielle S. Bassett, Ph.D.

Danielle S. Bassett, Ph.D., is the Eduardo D. Glandt Faculty Fellow and Associate Professor of Bioengineering, Neurology, Electrical & Systems Engineering, and Physics & Astronomy at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. Dr. Bassett is most well known for her work blending neural and systems engineering to identify fundamental mechanisms of cognition and disease in human brain networks. Among her honors are a Churchill Fellowship, an NIH Health Sciences Scholarship, a Junior Research Fellowship at the Sage Center for the Study of the Mind, the American Psychological Association's ‘Rising Star’ award, an Alfred P Sloan Research Fellowship, a MacArthur Fellowship, an Early Academic Achievement Award from the IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society, a National Science Foundation CAREER Award, the Lagrange Prize in Complex Systems Science, and the Erdos-Renyi Prize in Network Science.
