Infrastructure Branch

Overview

The Infrastructure Branch of the Division of Data Science and Technology (DST) oversees a portfolio of grants and contracts related to providing needed infrastructure for the mental health research community.

The branch supports multiple scientific programs including the NeuroBioBank Program, which provides tissues to the extramural community, as well as the infrastructure to find those tissues; and the NIMH Data Archive, which provides the infrastructure to store data from NIMH grant awardees who have collected data from human subjects.

The infrastructure has been adopted by a number of other NIH Institutes to support their need to house data. Finally, the Infrastructure Branch manages the funding to provide non-human primate colonies for the neuroscience research community.
