Global Mental Health Research Training Program

Overview

The Global Mental Health Research Training Program supports research training at the predoctoral, postdoctoral, and early investigator level of career development in scientific areas relevant to global mental health, including research training, research education, research capacity building, and research infrastructure development. The primary goal of this program is to ensure that sufficient, highly trained research investigators will be available to address questions pertinent to mental health and mental illness around the globe and thereby to reduce the burden of mental and behavioral disorders. Funding opportunities supported by the Center for Global Mental Health Research (CGMHR) training and career development program include institutional (T32, R25), individual training (F30, F31, F32, R36), and mentored career development (K01, K08, K23, K99/R00) programs. Investigators are urged to review the NIMH Strategic Plan and specific research programs within CGMHR.
