>> FRANCES JOHNSON: If you're thinking about a career in science, there's some kind of program that will give you an opportunity -- I think from the high school level now, through college -- to explore through established scientific research labs, if you come to NIH, your interests and your curiosity. And you can come here without having a plan -- you know, "I'm going to go for a PhD, I'm going to go to medical school" -- there are programs for high school students, college students. I recommend that anybody just go on the website, find something that piques your interest, and follow that. See where it leads you.
