Mental Illnesses and COVID-19 Risks

Transcript

Just like people who are immunocompromised or have cancer, people with some mental illnesses are at a high risk for severe illness from COVID-19.

Mental illnesses including depression and schizophrenia spectrum disorders are associated with increased rates of COVID-19 hospitalization.

If you have a mental illness, as soon as you test positive for COVID-19, you should talk with your health care provider about available treatments.
