Professional Coalition for Research Progress
The Professional Coalition for Research Progress (Coalition) is a group of senior leaders and representatives from national professional organizations with an interest in NIMH research. The NIMH Director convenes the Coalition to share information on the latest research advances and related developments at NIMH and foster dialogue on the future directions of NIMH-funded research. The meeting affords participants the opportunity to share their views and concerns about current research priorities and strategies directly with the NIMH Director and senior staff and network with colleagues in related mental health fields.
NIMH recently convened the Coalition on Thursday, March 30, 2017 in Bethesda, MD. Discussion and presentations centered around the experimental therapeutics approach to developing interventions, the Research Domain Criteria (RDoC) initiative, and the balance of the NIMH research portfolio. A summary of the meeting is forthcoming.
