Opportunities
Postdoctoral position
A postdoctoral position is available in the Lee Lab (Functional Neural Circuits, NIMH, NIH). Our research focuses on the neural circuit mechanisms underlying corticocortical communication and dynamic interactions between sensory and behavioral functions, using rodents and non-human primates (marmosets). We aim to understand how cellular and circuit elements enable contextual integration and computation in the cortex from development through adulthood. Our approaches include functional in vivo imaging in behaving animals, in vivo and ex vivo electrophysiology, optogenetics, genetic labeling, anatomical tracing, and computational analysis.
We seek highly motivated postdoctoral fellows with an MD/PhD or PhD in Neuroscience or a related field and a strong record of research productivity. Ideal candidates will have strong quantitative and programming skills and experience in at least one of the following areas: imaging, electrophysiology, genetic technologies, or behavioral studies. Candidates should demonstrate scientific creativity and strong communication skills and be able to work both independently and collaboratively. Salary will be commensurate with education and experience. See OITE Research Training of Postdoc Fellows for more program information and guidance.
