Cristina is a Graduate Student Special Volunteer from Italy who will spend 3 years working with David Leopold’s Lab. She got her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychological Sciences and Techniques in 2020 and her Master Degree’s in Mind and Body Sciences in 2023 at the University of Turin focusing on visual adaptation.

Since November 2023 she is enrolled in the Neuroscience Ph.D. program at the University of Parma, where she’s been working with non human primates in the Neurophysiology Lab of Professor Luca Bonini, focusing on functions of subcortical structures in visual awareness, particularly on responses to social stimuli in affective blindsight.
