Jillian graduated from the University of Washington with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and minors in English and Data Science. At UW, she conducted research under the mentorship of Dr. Sheri Mizumori investigating the neural mechanisms underlying learning, memory, and decision making with a particular focus on how substance use disorders affect behavioral flexibility. Jillian joined SCNI in August 2025, and is currently working on projects identifying and analyzing neuronal populations modified by viral gene transduction to understand their developmental timing and organization. After her time as a post-baccalaureate fellow, Jillian plans to pursue a Ph.D in Neuroscience.
