Date

May 10, 2017

Location

Bethesda, MD

The NIMH Division of AIDS Research sponsored a meeting to advance the science of HIV pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) implementation. The meeting convened eight teams of NIMH-funded researchers who received administrative supplements for implementation science on HIV PrEP delivery. These teams leverage the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Project PrIDE  public health initiative to increase PrEP availability and use for individuals at risk for HIV infection. The meeting provided an opportunity for grantees to share their progress, challenges, and strategies to address challenges. Meeting discussions also focused on opportunities for collaboration and data harmonization.
