Laboratory of Neuropsychology (LN)

Office of the Chief

The Office of the Chief comprises a set of common resources and personnel that support the five Sections/Unit in the Laboratory of Neuropsychology. The personnel include administrative support staff, a neurophysiologist skilled in engineering, two neuroscientists with advanced skills in aseptic neurosurgery, a histologist, and an IT specialist. The responsibilities of the Office-of-the-Chief staff include:

  • Administrative support for travel, personnel actions and procurement
  • Maintaining and upgrading software on individual desktop and laptop computers
  • Support for scientific and neuroimaging computer applications
  • Support for neuroimaging (e.g., MRI, CT and PET)
  • Histological processing of brain tissue
  • Performance of aseptic neurosurgical procedures
  • Identification, selection and design of neurophysiological equipment
  • Consultation and training in neuroanatomical, histological and neurosurgical techniques
  • Consultation in neurophysiological data collection and analyses
