Changquan received his Ph.D. in Neurobiology from the Institute of Neuroscience, Chinese Academy of Sciences, where he studied synaptic and circuit mechanisms of sensory processing and plasticity in the thalamus and cortex under the guidance of Drs. Poo and Zhang. He then worked in Dr. Morales’s lab at the National Institute on Drug Abuse, investigating how dopaminergic neurons in the ventral tegmental area respond to systemic cocaine. In Dr. Lee’s lab, Changquan is exploring how functional interactions across brain areas emerge and mature during development.
