Translational Genomics for Mental Health Program

Overview

The Translational Genomics for Mental Health Program identifies and supports genomics research across a broad range of approaches that have the potential for clinically translatable results. Genomics approaches and methods include molecular genetics, statistical genetics, transcriptional regulation, gene-environment interactions, and phenotypic characterization of mental health populations.

The program seeks to apply emerging and established interpretations of genetic variability and sequelae to clinical populations to predict risk, disease course, and treatment outcomes. The program serves as a bridge between the basic mechanisms of genetic findings and how these are functionally integrated with behavioral, phenotypic, and clinical conditions.
