Autism Spectrum Disorder Pediatric, Early Detection, Engagement and Services (ASD PEDS) Network
Location: Bethesda, MD
The NIMH Division of Services and Intervention Research convened a meeting with researchers from the initial Services Research for Autism Spectrum Disorder Across the Lifespan (ServASD) funding opportunity announcement. The network consisted of five separate studies with the shared aim to develop and test system-level interventions to universally screen, diagnose and engage children with ASD aged 0-3 years in evidence-based treatment and services. The researchers collected common data elements, pooled resources, and shared data in a collaborative effort to enhance the reliability and impact of their findings. This meeting provided the researchers opportunity to present the current status of the research, discuss opportunities to leverage their data to address the issue of universal screening for ASD, and brainstorm potential shared scientific projects.
