Individualized Low Amplitude Seizure Therapy (iLAST)

“iLAST is a term meant to describe either electrical or magnetic means of inducing seizure therapy in which pulse amplitude is individually titrated and low amplitudes are used (Lisanby et al, 2014). … The two key concepts behind iLAST are: (1) individualization of the pulse amplitude to compensate for individual differences in dosage requirements and (2) low pulse amplitude to enhance focality of E-field exposure and resultant seizure induction to reduce the risk of cognitive side effects.”
